Morgana Lines BSc Psych Couns
020 3532 9853
I am qualified with a BSc Integrative Counselling degree from The University of Roehampton. My training drew on different theoretical approaches, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential theories.
The theory I draw upon will vary from client to client, as I believe that everyone is different, and their issues need different considerations. I do however strongly believe in the main core conditions of Rogers', and his idea that Empathy, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Congruence are vital conditions in therapy, and so I try to adhere to these conditions with all clients.
I have worked in various settings from The Place2be, working with children of primary years. Offering counselling to on a long-term basis to them. I also have experience working with adults from many diverse backgrounds, cultures and religions. Some of the issues I have dealt with are, depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, survivors of trauma; bereavement, addiction, attachment disorders and sexual identity.
I currently work from home, where I offer and quiet and peaceful setting for all clients.
How counselling can help.....
People choose counselling for many different reasons, and its important that you are clear on what your reasons are. But for whichever reason you find, counselling provides a confidential space, where you can share your thoughts and emotion about what might be troubling you.
By providing a warm and non-judgemental environment, my role is to offer support to you. And together we can navigate our way through, what may be a dark period in your life. We will explore what you know about your situation, and bring greater awareness to other areas.
What to expect.....
I strongly advise on an initial meeting, so that we can meet face to face, and discuss if and how I could help you. During this time, I will ask more directive questions about your presenting issue; like how long you have been struggling, and whether or not you have sought counselling in the past. This session is charged at £30. I appreciate that deciding to start therapy is a big step, therefore there is never any contractual agreement during the initial consultation. If from that meeting we decide to begin therapy, sessions will be charged at £30. I offer a lower fee of £25 for students. These sessions will take place on a weekly basis, at the same time and on the same day. I will try to accommodate other days if and where possible, to clients who may need to change their usual day due to unforeseen circumstances.
I will attempt to respond to emails as quickly as possible.
