About me

In life there are occasions when we feel low or trapped in a situation that feels too overwhelming.  At times like this counselling can be helpful as you can talk about yourself in a way that you often cannot do with family and friends.

Counselling provides a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space to talk about yourself, your life and anything that maybe confusing, painful or uncomfortable.

We are all affected by life’s journey and may have painful issues that can be limiting us today.  I will work with you to identify and understand your difficulties, looking at new ways of approaching them to enable you to make changes.

The counselling process is a positive experience for those wanting to increase their understanding of themselves and develop their self-awareness.  However I fully appreciate that it can be challenging and difficult at times and I am here to support you along your journey.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor providing both short and long term counselling to individuals over 18 and couples. Currently I run my private practice in Salisbury, having worked in a city centre agency for a number of years.  Working for a counselling charity I have experienced a wide range of issues.

I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential service. I am committed to working with you in a way that is tailored to your individual therapeutic needs. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a selection of counselling models to support my work with you.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, abiding by their ethical framework. In line with this I have regular supervision and am committed to my own professional development.   I hold professional indemnity insurance.

The number of sessions required would depend on what it is you would like to explore and this would be discussed during the initial assessment session.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have trained in an integrative model which draws from three of the counselling models, person centred, transactional analysis, gestalt.
