Julie Cooke - Ad Dip PC, Dip PC, Dip Hyp CS
Aston On Trent
Welcome to my profile. My aim is to provide a supportive, accepting and confidential environment for all my clients. My counselling training and approach is integrative, which means that I use various theoretical methods when working with clients. This depends upon their individual needs and unique circumstance.
People seek counselling for many different reasons; I work with people who are experiencing difficulty with: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Panic Disorder, Grief and Bereavement, Illness, General Sadness, Loneliness, Relationship Difficulties, Separation and Divorce, Family Issues, Anger, Work Related Stress, Self Confidence Issues, Bullying, Poor Self Esteem, plus others.
Most of my work is short term therapy (6 to 9 weeks) focusing on specific issues, but I also work long term if my client wishes.
My practice is based in Aston on Trent, very near to Derby (South Derbyshire) and easily accessible from junction 24 of the M1 and the A50. My counselling room is located on the first floor. Parking is available.
If you have any questions or would like to get a better understanding of how I work, you are very welcome to give me a call.

My current fee for individual adult clients (18+) is £35 per session ( 50 minutes).
I believe that a respectful therapeutic relationship recognises that a client is the expert on their life and their needs, but at certain times in life it is valuable and helpful to seek counselling in order to gain extra support and focus.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I worked within the NHS as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Nurse. Prior to this I worked in marketing for a major retailer (17 years). Both of these careers have given me a broad understanding of many of the difficult, stressful and life changing events that people experience.
