Hart Voluntary Action Ltd
121 Youth Counselling is a charity that offers 50 minute weekly sessions of counselling to young people age 11-25 years of age. Counselling is free to the young person and is completely confidential. Counselling is open ended so young people receive counselling for as long as they need it with the same counsellor every week. We currently have more places available for 17-25 year olds, therefore there is a long waiting list for the 11-16 year olds.
Each client has an initial assessment before they are placed with a counsellor to ensure that they are given the most appropriate counsellor for their needs. All counsellors receive group supervision and are fully supported in their role. 121 itself and all 121 Counsellors are BACP members and as such we adhere to the ethical guidelines and codes of practice of BACP.
We counsel young people with issues like: anxiety, depression, stress, phobias, self harming, suicidal thoughts and feelings, being bullied, post-traumatic stress, bereavement, young carers, etc.
