Clive Mason (MBACP)
The National Therapy Centre
2 Spur Road
Hello and thankyou for viewing my profile. I am a BACP registered, experienced male counsellor. I use the Person Centred Approach as my core model of work, however, my work is integrative, which means that I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches and models to support the development of the work with you. I strive to offer empathy, unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental relationship, looking to understand how you experience yourself and your life.
I offer counselling to those over the age of 18 from all walks of life in Southern Hampshire. Primarily I offer a home visit service which covers not only Portsmouth but also Gosport and Fareham. If a home visit isn't suitable for you then I can see you at The Natural Therapy Centre in Cosham, Portsmouth.
I have a great deal of experience of working with both Serving members and Veterans of the Armed Forces along with their families and really do understand the complexities and struggles associated with this lifestyle.
I work in the early evening from 5.30pm to 9pm, each session lasts for 1 hour (couples & families 1.5hrs). Typically we would work together for 6 weeks but this could be more or less and would be discussed once we start working together. All counselling sessions are confidential.
I receive ongoing professional supervision, during which I discuss how I am working and how I can best support you. Supervision, like the counselling sessions is also confidential.
I attend regular CPD training and events keeping my knowledge up to date with research and best practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registration No 129940) and also hold a current registered enhanced DBS Certificate.
