Supervision details
I welcome working with anyone within the counselling field (student or qualified) and have extensive experience across a multitude of areas; including working in charity, corporate and private practice. In my 7 years of counselling practice I have worked primarily with adults, as a 'lone practitioner', with the LGBT community, bereaved clients and managing depression with clients, including self harm and suicide risk. My experience as a therapist has covered a multitude of client issues, and experienced my own limitations and reflected on strengths in my own supervision.
I am a Level 6 Clinical Supervisor. I work strongly in Person-Centred while incorporating Existential and Transactional therapeutic theories to best serve supervisees. As your supervisor I will provide a safe, non- judgemental and mentoring relationship where we can explore the client process and your own. I'm a big believer in bringing our 'stuff' to supervision to better understand what is happening in the counselling room. I want to supervise you as a whole person, as it affects the practitioner in you.
I operate online supervision via Google Meet or telephone supervision. I am trained to a specialist standard to deliver online and telephone supervision and counselling. I am also happy to offer ad-hoc/ single session supervision for when your regular supervisor is unwell, on holiday or has a knowledge or skill gap I might be able to support.
My fees are 1 hour - £45/ 1.5 hours - £55
Please feel free to reach out to me for more information about supervision, or to book a free 30 minute intro call. If you send an enquiry please check your spam/junk for my reply - I will always respond to enquiries but they sometimes get missed by being in these folders!
I look forward to hearing from you!
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
