About me
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially when thoughts, emotions or life circumstances feel overwhelming, or when you no longer recognise yourself in the way you once did. People often come to counselling when something doesn’t feel right anymore and they don’t want to carry it alone.
I work with adults who might be managing on the surface but feel lost, overwhelmed or stuck underneath. Many people come with a sense that their spark or light has dimmed, often due to bereavement, loss, change, burnout, or long periods of pushing through without space to rest.
You don’t need to have a clear label for what you’re experiencing. Not recognising yourself anymore, or sensing that something has shifted inside, is reason enough to come to therapy.
Before I was a counsellor, I was a counselling client. I understand first-hand the vulnerability involved in reaching out for help, especially when you are unsure where to begin or how to put your experience into words. That understanding shapes how I work in our sessions, while keeping the focus firmly on you and what you need from therapy.
In our work together, therapy is a dedicated space to talk openly and in depth about what’s been happening for you. We take time to explore what you are carrying, talk through your experiences, and work to make sense of things in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
I reply personally to every enquiry. If you don’t hear back, please check your junk or spam folder, as replies can sometimes land there. You are welcome to get in touch if you would like to explore working together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
While I work with many areas of life and experiences, I have a particular interest and training in grief and bereavement work, including pregnancy and child loss, death of loved ones and death by depression or suicide. I also work often with other significant losses such as identity, fertility, security, redundancy, independence and health losses.

Additional information
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length.
If you are a counselling student, I am able to offer reduced fee counselling towards your personal therapy hours. Please message me if this is of interest to you.
I offer a free 30 minute intro call, it is important that you feel you can develop a relationship with your counsellor and this is a good way for us both to test the water. I'll ask you a little about why you are seeking counselling support, what your expectations are for your counselling experience and whether you've used counselling before. You'll have an opportunity to ask me questions about my practice, and who I am as a counsellor. Before we start the sessions you will need to complete a counselling contract and provide emergency contact details, I will explain this in more detail in our intro call.
I am able to provide invoices for clients who are expensing through their employer.
