Supervision details
The work you do as a therapist is deeply personal, often challenging, and incredibly impactful.
I understand the part good supervision plays in this process. That is why I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are and bring any and every challenge, question, and feeling. I want you to feel supported, empowered, and confident in your work, no matter where you are in your journey.
✦ WHAT I OFFER ✦
I have built a mental health community of over 240K followers on social media, so I not only bring experience and knowledge in the counselling world, but also in the realm of building a private practice, finding your voice and growing a thriving business.
I can also offer:
✨ A SAFE SPACE when power dynamics and transference issues get entangled. I offer a judgment-free zone where we can talk about challenges, vulnerabilities, and mistakes in a way that feels safe and supportive.
✨ PROCESSING & REFLECTING on thoughts and feelings brought up by your client work and separating what belongs to you, your client and dynamics of each relationship.
✨ LEARNING and increasing your self-confidence and skills, tapping into your strengths, capability and experience. I believe in sharing knowledge, resources, articles, interventions and relevant psychoeducation.
✨ SUPPORT with practical things like your fees, boundary issues, your website and social media presence, accreditation, marketing your private practice, and working online safely.
✨ CELEBRATION of yours and your clients' growth, small and big wins, and moments of change and transformation.
✦ MY APPROACH & TRAINING ✦
I work across multiple modalities, integrating theories and practices to suit your client’s needs and your therapeutic style. At the core of my work is Psychodynamic theory, enriched by Humanistic approaches such as Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis, and occasionally incorporating CBT. I also love to work creatively when the opportunity presents itself.
I hold an MSc in Neuroscience and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching. I've completed the Gottman’s Clinical Training in Couples Therapy, along with numerous supervision trainings, including:
- Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (7-Eyed Model)
- Navigating Ethical Issues and Managing Risk
- Culturally Responsive Supervision
- Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision
- The Queer 7-Eyed Model of Supervision
✦ FEES & CONSULTATION ✦
I'd love to discuss working together. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, so we can see if we're the right fit.
If we decide to work with each other after the consultation, my fee will be £60 per hour, or £90 per hour and a half.
I also have vast experience in advertising, PR, marketing and design, and can offer one-off/brief consultancy appointments for newly established therapists on setting up a successful private practice. Fees are as above.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
