BABCP Accredited CBT Psychotherapist & CBT Supervisor
Introduction
A warm welcome,
I offer thoughtful, trauma-informed CBT supervision for trainee and qualified therapists working with anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. My approach balances evidence-based CBT practice with attention to the emotional and relational realities of therapeutic work. Supervision is collaborative, reflective, and carefully paced, supporting you to think clearly, work ethically, and sustain yourself in demanding roles. Supervision is offered online across the UK.
My Supervisory Approach
I work with supervisees who are conscientious, reflective, and often holding high standards for themselves. Many are highly capable therapists who want supervision to feel containing and developmental rather than pressurised.
My supervisory style is:
- BABCP-aligned and grounded in CBT formulation
- Trauma-informed and nervous-system aware
- Supportive, non-shaming, and collaborative
- Structured while responsive to what emerges
We attend not only to interventions and outcomes, but also to therapist responses, blocks, and patterns that may arise in the work.
Areas of Focus in Supervision
Supervision may include:
- CBT formulation, intervention planning, and review
- Working with anxiety disorders, trauma, and chronic stress
- Integrating trauma-informed principles within CBT practice
- Reflecting on therapist self-doubt, self-criticism, or over-responsibility
- Developing confidence, flexibility, and ethical decision-making
There is space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of complexity.
A Trauma-Informed Lens
My supervisory work is informed by an understanding of how survival strategies such as perfectionism, hyper-responsibility, and self-reliance can show up in therapists as well as clients.
Rather than pushing for certainty or mastery, supervision supports steadiness, reflective capacity, and sustainable ways of working that protect both therapist and client.
Final Note
Supervision can be a place where you are not required to have everything figured out, but are supported to think, reflect, and grow in your practice with integrity.
