Supervision details

Dr Stone offers clinical supervision to all mental health practitioners.  Her approach is caring, informative and supportive of each supervisee's individual growth needs.   She has completed clinical supervision training and has worked as a Professional Development Tutor for trainee Counselling Psychologists at a local University.

Dr Stone uses an integrative model of supervision.  She begins supervision by assessing the individual needs and hopes of each supervisee and customises her approach to suit.  Dr Stone adapts her approach as needed and reviews progress to ensure each supervisee is getting what they need.  She has a strong humanistic foundation in all aspects of her work, where the working relationship is the main priority.  However, she also draws upon other psychologically informed and evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CFT, ACT, mindfulness-based approaches, PCT, EFT & Positive Psychology.

Dr Stone is a trauma specialist and has extensive clinical experience in the areas of depression and anxiety-based disorders.  She has worked in private practice for a number of years and can assist with business development for those who are just starting out.

Supervision is offered remotely - please contact us for further details.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
