Supervision details

I offer  supervision to counsellors in order to support you, the work you do and your practice. My fee is £50 p/h prorata.

Please feel free to read my counselling profile to gain some understanding of my counselling work  background and experience. My supervision approach is predominately around the Seven Eyed Process Model. This will encourage you to explore relationships, approaches, theory and reflective insights. This perpetuates personal develpement , growth and informs and supports practice.

As a counselling supervisor I offer:-

A safe space for discussion and exploration, and to work with you to provide the most useful form of supervision that is right for you.

Space to explore own triggers, Space to be authentic.

A space where you can be offered reassurance or different perspectives, and to monitor, challenge, suggest, advise, encourage and support you appropriately in relation to client work. To also explore and discuss any concerns about client work that may arise and work with you to address them, with a beneficial outcome in mind.

Supportive, collaborative, ethical and professional standpoint offering a different lens for the work with an educational, evaluative, perspective. So therefore provide appropriate learning advice and support for your ongoing professional development.

Space that can facilitate support and  encourage safe growth for counselling work and practice

Space to explore both personal and professional growth – and how they are connected to enhance practice.

To offer witness to your  practice which may otherwise be unseen.

Space to be your authentic self , acceptance, humanness, and ‘okayness’ to share and explore mistakes.

To offer a supervisory relationship that is  based on trust, and to invite comment and review of the supervision I provide on an agreed basis..

To fulfil report requirements as and when needed, e.g. for BACP accreditation, training providers etc.( This may be at additional cost depending on what is required).

I look forward to having an initial chat with you by phone or zoom for half an hour if you would like, so you can discuss your supervision needs. It will give you an opportunity to see if you feel comfortable talking with me, and if we could be a good match. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of  further assistance with any questions you may have.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
