Supervision details

I have had the great privilege of practicing psychotherapy across multiple primary, secondary, and third sector services. These include running therapy groups for Tavistock, working in NHS Talking Therapies (formally IAPT), developing and managing a successful low-cost counselling service where I supervised 15 clinicians, and running a successful private practice. Currently, my roles include working as a psychotherapist and psychologist in an NHS inpatient psychiatric hospital and holding a visiting lectureship on a Doctoral program in Counselling Psychology.

At present, I am finalising my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. My own Doctoral research is on the theory of Moral Injury and its application to therapists working in NHS Talking Therapies. As part of this, I have been invited to multiple speaking engagements, which have varied from NHS conferences to Oxford University.  As part of my interest in research, I also review manuscripts for the European Journal for Qualitative Research in Psychotherapy.

I am deeply passionate about supporting others on their clinical journey's, and aim to provide a space informed by my experience working with mild-to-severe mental health difficulties. Trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychologist, I encourage a reflective and open format where different theoretical lenses are considered.

I have a particular interest in working with complex trauma, personality difficulties, and dissociative disturbances. My practice is underpinned by trauma-focused principles, person-centred values, and relational psychodynamic theories.

I offer both 1:1 supervision and group supervision.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
