Supervision details
I am a recently qualified Supervisor working within the context of the Seven Eyed Model which I feel brings a greater understanding and context to our work and the therapeutic relationship. I have a passion for this role with my priority being to support you in a collegial way by bringing insight into the supervision process and its ability to bring insight into the subtle nuances of our work.
I work with the 7 eyed model of supervision which for me has brought a great understanding of my work by bringing so much more into awareness.
Although there is an element of oversight with regards to Ethics Supervision is mostly about supporting you and providing resources to develop ethical practice for your work.
I feel Supervision is a comfortable area for me with the training and research triggering a passion that has been reflected in my results.
Although my training modality is Integrative my Supervision training fits very much into a person centred way of working with for me is recognising and celebrating that you are the professional with your clients with my role at times being about advice.
Trainee Supervision is an area of particular interest as I feel I can not only support supervisee's but bring to them an understanding of how best to make use of supervision in their future work with clients
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
