About me
These are difficult times for all of us with anxiety being palpable within society.
I am now able to offer face to face sessions for all clients.
Telephone and Zoom sessions available subject to agreement.
Walk and talk sessions available subject to assessment and agreement.
I am a registered and professional trained counsellor/therapist offering a general counselling service to clients.
I believe that these are times where we as counsellors need to ask the question how we can provide a service to our clients and potential clients?
I believe the answer is to respect your wishes and to recognise your inate ability to grow and heal given the right conditions to do so. I will endeavour to be flexible around how we work together and with what media we work.
I offer you my absolute commitment to support you in a way that protects your autonomy.
What I work with and how I work with client
By experience I have found that clients will sometimes be quite specific about what they want and other times they are searching for what is wrong. In the initial stages of counselling I take great care to develop trust as only then can you feel truly safe to speak freely and openly.
I strongly believe in working towards improving how we live on a daily basis whilst recognising that the past and worries about the future can impact on how we live in the present. I have experience of working with many issues eg anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, PTSD/Trauma and more. I will not define you by a diagnosis or a label as I see every client as an individual with individual strengths, ability, desires and hope for the future. I offer you a balanced perspective and supportive relationship where you sit at the centre of our work together.
I am quite happy to have an initial telephone chat and answer any questions you may have.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
