Supervision details
Having worked in the field of Psychotherapy for over 40years, I have experience of clinically supervising, counsellors, psychotherapists (trainees and qualified), Coaches, teachers & religious leaders. Despite having a broad range of experience in the field of Mental Health, I decided to gain a recognisable qualification.
In 2015 I gained an MSc in Professional Supervision at Middlesex University, I am a UKCP registered supervisor.
Although supervision is mandatory in the counselling and psychotherapy it is important that you find the right supervisor for you.
I offer monthly supervision online or in person, I use therapeutic theory and supervisory models to enhance our work together. Working in a relational style I offer supportive, boundaried and at times challenging supervsion.
If you don't attend professional supervsion and have a regular space to talk about your work on a monthly basis how will your own mental health and wellbeing be affected?
Although not currently a mandatory requirement Coaches are being recommended to attend regular supervision and I would love to offer you supervision to discuss your work if you are a Coach.
I currently offer both individual and group supervision.
Please contact me on mail@lesleybutlin.co.uk to discuss your supervisory needs.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
