Supervision details
I'm a BACP accredited Counsellor with over 18 years of experience in therapy. I offer Supervision loosely based on the 7-eyed model Supervision model but work this in a Humanistic and flexible way, and offer you supervision which helps you grow as a counsellor and also as a person. My supervision training has been varied, with different models of working, but see my years of experience and over 15,000 client hours as the best training I've received, and even now I learn so much from the people I supervise, listening to their knowledge and experiences and appreciating this as a wonderful learning curve for me. My current supervision list is working with 11 individuals and 1 group of 2 I feel very strongly that our work together is a joint enterprise, where you won’t feel judged, where I’m not in a more powerful position than you, and together we can make the supervision informative and space to grow as a counsellor. I work with you in a very professional manner but also make sure the supervision is an enjoyable experience. I offer a free 20 min phone call initially so you have a chance to see if I'm the right supervisor for you, and if I am, we can discuss a work ‘contract’ and book the first supervision session. I see counsellors from local areas such as Marchwood, Lymington, Hythe and Southampton, as well as Winchester and via On-line, all areas of the UK and some in Europe and Scandinavia. I also offer supervision by telephone and Online. My fee is £65 per 1 hour; face-to-face, telephone or Online
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
