Supervision details
I have been qualified in Supervision for 14 years and have extensive experience in supporting and supervising student counsellors, qualified counsellors and front line staff.
With 18 years experience in the counselling field with Children, Adolescents and Adults I am a highly skilled professional dedicated to supporting and nurturing the next generation of counsellors.
As a compassionate and insightful supervisor I offer a safe, reflective space for counsellors to develop their skills, address challenges and build confidence in their therapeutic practice.
Choosing the right supervisor to work alongside you in your counselling career, counselling studies or helping profession, who will provide you with all the support and help you need to ensure you practice to the best of your ability and achieve your full potential and ambitions, is probably one of the most important yet difficult decisions to make.
I have worked in various therapeutic settings, including lead counsellor, managerial and supervision roles with adults, adolescents and children from age 4 upwards, schools, colleges & universities. I have worked for social services, various charities, including rape & sexual abuse, suicide prevention, trauma, bereavement, domestic abuse, and organisations such as the national charity Mind. I also have a successful private practice since 2007. All of this allows me to offer a broad perspective on the diverse needs of both clients and counsellors. I come with a wealth of knowledge, skills and training to share with you so that you feel fully equipped in your counselling career.
I take a person-centred, integrative, creative and holistic approach to supervision, emphasising the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance with supervisees.
Through reflective practice, active listening and constructive feedback I will guide you through the complexities of your work while encouraging personal and professional growth. I tailor supervision to each supervisees unique needs, helping you navigate ethical dilemmas, countertransference and case conceptualisation, all while ensuring ongoing self care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
