About me

You’re probably functioning well on the outside. You manage things, you show up, you hold it together. But inside, your mind rarely stops. You overthink decisions after you’ve made them, replay conversations, and find it hard to trust your own judgement. You might be the person everyone relies on, while quietly wondering why you never feel settled.

You might also struggle to remember the last time you did something just for you. Not productive, not useful to anyone else, just genuinely enjoyable.

If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

Do you:

∙ Find yourself stuck in the same patterns even when you can see what you’re doing?

∙ Feel anxious or burnt out despite having no obvious reason to be?

∙ Struggle to set boundaries without guilt or fear of letting people down?

∙ Feel responsible for managing everyone else’s feelings except your own?

Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to hold everything together.

Together we can explore what’s beneath the surface. The patterns that developed early, the beliefs you inherited, the ways you learned to cope that once helped but may now be keeping you stuck. Understanding these things isn’t just interesting. It changes how you relate to yourself and others.

Therapy can help you:

∙ Build genuine self trust rather than constantly second guessing yourself

∙ Set boundaries that feel steady rather than guilt ridden

∙ Understand the roots of your overthinking, anxiety, or self doubt

∙ Rediscover what you actually enjoy and give yourself permission to pursue it

∙ Feel more settled, clearer, and more authentically yourself

I’m an experienced UKCP accredited Psychotherapist and EMCC Senior Coach Practitioner. My core approach is Transactional Analysis and I draw on attachment and developmental perspectives alongside creative and somatic approaches including guided imagery, sandtray, and body based awareness where these feel helpful.

I specialise in anxiety, trauma, self esteem, and relationship difficulties, particularly where these are shaped by family patterns or earlier experiences. Clients often come to me feeling stuck in overthinking, people pleasing, or self doubt, and leave with greater clarity, steadier boundaries, and a stronger sense of who they are.

Some clients find they want more than therapy alone.

Therapy offers space to explore, understand, and heal. Alongside this, coaching provides a more explicit framework for identifying what you want and what’s getting in the way. It supports you to move from insight into action, building confidence and clarity to make changes in your day to day life.

Used together, this means you’re not just understanding yourself more deeply. You’re also developing the practical tools and direction to live differently.

This integrated approach might suit you if you’re looking for both emotional depth and a structured, supportive framework for change.

If you’d like to explore whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free initial consultation. You’re welcome to email, call, or book directly via my calendar link https://calendly.com/hello-louisehiles/consultation

Further information

Before retraining as a psychotherapist, and then a coach, I spent over 15 years working in the private sector with digital and creative agencies. I chose to make that change because of a genuine passion for supporting people to live more fully.
I have been working with private clients and within the NHS for over a decade and now practise online and in person from my dedicated room in the Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne.
