Reflective group for counsellors and psychotherapists to discuss issues in clinical practice
The aim of the reflective group is to bring together both qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists to discuss areas of clinical practice that they do not get the time to explore during normal supervision. The topic for discussion and reflection for the first meeting is anger in the therapy room.
It is anticipated we will discuss the following:
- What anger means for us?
- Do we give clients permission to be angry?
- What happens when we get scared in the therapy room?
- How do we contain anger?
It is hoped that the group will run monthly on a day and time that is mutually convenient.
The initial meeting will be the forum to discuss the suitable time, as well as topics for reflection in in going group meetings.
