REBT - rational emotive & cognitive-behaviour therapy
Rational Emotive & Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (REBT)
Rational Emotive & Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, known as REBT, is the pioneering form of cognitive behaviour therapy developed by Dr. Albert Ellis in 1955.
REBT is an action-oriented approach to managing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural disturbances. This workshop is designed to help you and your client manage some of the faulty belief systems and irrational beliefs that are blocking the way to a healthier and happy life style.
We will be looking at theory, some techniques and tools to help move stuck clients and an opportunity to practice your new found skills. According to Ellis, "people are not disturbed by things but rather by their view of things." The fundamental assertion of rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT) is that the way people feel is largely influenced by how they think.
