Are you feeling trapped in a never ending cycle of binging and dieting and feel ready to find freedom from emotional eating?

I can help.

I facilitate workshops and a bespoke individual programme to help you find freedom from emotional eating and to help develop a new and refreshing way of embracing your relationship with food.

What is emotional eating?

Emotional eating is a way to suppress or soothe emotions, such as stress, anger, fear, boredom, sadness or loneliness. Major life events, or more commonly the stress of daily life can lead to emotional eating.

Are you in the cycle of dieting, nagging yourself, losing weight, nagging yourself gaining weight?

Do you eat when you’re not hungry, what are you hungry for?

Are you secretive about your binge eating?

Do you feel hopeless about ever finding freedom from your obsession with food?

Do you eat to mask feelings of loneliness ,  despair, grief or boredom from yourself and others?

Diet no more, I can help

This is not a fad diet or a gimmick but an informative and inspirational workshop that will give you the tools to give you the healthy relationship to food and finding the body that is yours, the one nature intended and not the one created by the critical thoughts and media posts you may have experienced. I believe in the pleasure of food and wish to provide a space where this pleasure is not laden with guilt, or labelled as bad, good, or naughty, but treated as nourishment and enjoyment.

How am I qualified?

I myself have experienced periods of binging, dieting and emotional eating. Between yo-yo-ing through diets and food fads, and trapped in periods of feeling shameful and hateful towards my body, it took me a long time to recognise my own emotional eating behaviours. I do love food, but I wasn’t enjoying it. I was eating on grief and replacing feelings of sorrow with eating. I wasn’t excessively  greedy, or physically hungry, but I was gorging so much food to fill an emotional void. My eating habits were clouded in a language of self-hatred that many who binge eat will be familiar with.

Through my own personal experiences and training with experts in the field, I learned to know and trust when my body was physically hungry and when to stop at feeling full. I have never given another penny to a diet club!

I would now like to use my experience and knowledge to provide you with a bespoke program to help you break free from emotional eating.

If you are ready to stop the vicious cycle and take more control of your eating and your body, please feel free to get in touch. You are assured of a warm welcome, without judgement from someone who has been on the same journey, who also has a wealth of knowledge and experience of helping many people finally feel peace and happiness with their relationship to food and eating.

What’s to gain?

  • No more compulsive eating.
  • Say goodbye to the despair and the guilt of yo-yo dieting.
  • No more calorie counting, point adding or humiliating weigh-ins.
  • As you learn about your relationship with eating, you will  not feel deprived, which I know happens with many diets.
  • You will discover that food is pleasurable when not laden with guilt.
  • You will no longer use the derogatory language that the media and diet industry have taught you about eating and food.
  • Self awareness that brings empowering life change.

” Thank you Jane for delivering an enjoyable and very informative workshop on emotional eating. I was a little sceptical on how this may change my eating habits but I can honestly say it has helped me to understand my behaviours and I already made positive changes. Jane is very professional and yet warm and understanding.I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is struggling with their eating habits and weight loss.”

“When I first began working with Jane I was stuck in yo-yo dieting and at my worst, was five and a half stone overweight. I didn’t have the knowledge or tools with which to lose the weight and maintain it. Through counselling sessions and healthy eating workshops with Jane I have been given the tools to enable me to be healthy and learnt so much about myself, and, more importantly the reasons why I used food in a destructive way. That understanding has been the key to enabling me to lose weight and change my life. I am a happier, healthier and more content person thanks to this cognitive approach to food. I have now maintained my weight loss for a year. I genuinely don’t believe that I could go back to my old eating habits having learned so much about the reasons why I used to over eat."

“Jane and the workshops have been invaluable to me and have literally changed my life. I could not recommend anyone more highly. If you’re reading this then go for it!”
