£70
The Village Hall, New Road, Easton on the Hill, Stamford, Northamptonshire, PE9 3NN

Do you see clients who:

  • Carry around the weight of things they have done in their past?
  • Find themselves addicted to social media and its judgement?
  • Are crippled by fear of what other people think of them?
  • Are trapped in self-imposed isolation?
  • Feel ashamed of their bodies?

This workshop will be exploring feelings of shame and guilt – how they manifest, where they come from, what the difference is between them.

We will look at how shame and guilt appear in us in the modern world, focused through the lens of social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.

We will look at the influence of childhood experiences at home and at school and the effect of significant events and people in our adult life.

The day will be interactive with some practical activities and case study work. There will be opportunities to network with other counsellors from a variety of placements and practices and a lovely cold buffet lunch is included in the price.

If you want to reserve your place, please get in touch to request an application form. We will accept post-dated cheques to reserve your place.

If you are interested in this workshop but can’t make the date, get in touch because we are hoping to hold two sessions if there is demand.
