Two days of training on Friday 27/3/20 and Friday 3/04/20
9 am to 4 pm (Dorchester).
Price: £140.00 in total.
Limited availability - groups are kept to a maximum of eight participants
Training to include:
- What is domestic abuse?
- Domestic abuse and the law.
- What’s helpful when working with clients who are experiencing domestic abuse?
- Trauma response.
- Impacts of domestic abuse on mental/physical health.
- Risk.
- Stalking.
- Signposting and referring.
The training is offered in a workshop style. Full participation of attendees is required and there is some work to be undertaken outside of the training days.

Jo has worked in the domestic abuse field for 12 years and spent time working at various refuges in Dorset, with high risk victims and with the local perpetrators programme as partner support. Previous to working with survivors Jo ran courses for offenders with the Dorset Probation Service. She is a humanistic counsellor and member of the BACP.
