COSCA certificate in counselling skills (SCQF Level 8)

Our COSCA counselling certificate starts in September and is run online. One course is a Thursday evening and weekends, and the other course is Tuesday daytime.

This course will give you new listening and communication techniques and insights into yourself and others. You are encouraged to explore your own beliefs, ethics, and values throughout the four modules, considering the impact these have on you and others. As you learn how counselling skills can be effectively used, you will have the opportunity to develop your own skills in triad practice throughout every module.

The COSCA certificate in counselling skills is widely recognised by employers, counselling agencies and training providers/universities and is the entry requirement for our own diploma in pluralistic counselling and psychotherapy.

This training can also be adapted and delivered directly to organisations. Tailored to the needs of staff working in diverse settings, such as drugs and alcohol or older people. This course can provide a solid grounding in communication skills and the practice of establishing effective relationships.
