This four-week programme will provide parents/carers with tools to promote well-being and encourage discussions using a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.

Research shows that CBT is the most effective form of treatment for those coping with depression and anxiety. CBT alone is 50-75% effective for overcoming depression and anxiety and can provide individuals with techniques to manage anxiety and start to recover their confidence.

Studies have highlighted that resilience is an important predictor in mental health. In recent years, levels of resilience in children and young people have been in decline. An adolescent who is resilient is likely to enter adulthood with a good chance of coping well— even if he or she has experienced difficult circumstances in life. Therefore, developing emotional resilience is vital in increasing overall well-being.
