About me

I’m an experienced anxiety, insomnia and couples counsellor, providing in person sessions in my comfortable and private therapy room in Chislehurst near Bromley or UK-wide online. I work with adults (18+) and couples.

I specialise in resolving persistent anxiety, burnout and acute and complex trauma symptoms. I also support adults experiencing trouble falling asleep, chronic insomnia, sleep anxiety and racing thoughts at night. As a CBT‑I trained therapist, I offer evidence‑based support to help you understand your sleep patterns, reduce night‑time anxiety and rebuild confidence in your ability to rest.

As a couples counsellor I can help with conflict de-escalation, improved communication and intimacy, repair following betrayals and rebuilding of trust, connection and emotional safety.

More about how I work:

As counselling facilitates lifelong changes in perceptions, mental processes and neuropathways, you will achieve improved psychological, emotional and relational wellbeing and therefore increased resilience. This is your opportunity to be heard without judgement, gain personal insight and clarity, offload your worries and challenge any unhelpful beliefs about yourself, other people and even the world in which we exist. The growth and positive changes you achieve during therapy will not only improve your self-esteem but also your recovery from and/or confidence in navigating life's inevitable challenges. Challenges such as illness, loss, societal pressures, injustices, or difficult relationships with family, friends, loved ones, colleagues and most importantly yourself.

Therapy can also help if you do not feel able to reach out to friends or family for support for fear of upsetting or overburdening them. Or perhaps their well-meant advice or attempts to "fix" things leaves you feeling misunderstood or invalidated.

So, whatever brings you to therapy, please get in touch to arrange a complimentary consultation. Or for more detailed information on how I work with either couples and individuals, please visit my website and if you have any questions, just drop me a line.

I look forward to working with you,

Victoria.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
