About me
Experienced and effective in‑person therapy for adults (18+), specialising in three key areas:
- Anxiety and burnout (including panic, overwhelm and chronic worry)
- Sleep difficulties and insomnia
- Couples counselling
In‑person sessions take place in a comfortable and private therapy room in Chislehurst near Bromley (BR7). Online sessions are also available UK‑wide via Zoom.
Anxiety, burnout and trauma‑related symptoms: Therapeutic support at Victoria Crowther Counselling focuses on resolving persistent anxiety linked to burnout, acute stress and complex trauma symptoms. Many clients come feeling overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of worry, or unable to switch off.
Sleep difficulties and insomnia: As a CBT‑I trained therapist, I offer evidence‑based treatment for adults experiencing trouble falling asleep, chronic insomnia, sleep anxiety or racing thoughts at night. CBT‑I helps you understand your sleep patterns, reduce night‑time anxiety and rebuild confidence in your ability to sleep.
Couples counselling: Couples therapy supports you to:
- De‑escalate conflict
- Improve communication
- Restore and deepen emotional connection and intimacy
- Repair trust following betrayals
Further informatio about what you can expect: Counselling facilitates lifelong changes in perceptions, mental processes and neuropathways. Whether working individually with me on your anxiety or sleep challenges or as part of a couple hoping to finally understand and halt the exhausting cycles of conflict you have been stuck in, you will achieve improved psychological, emotional and relational wellbeing and resilience. This is your opportunity to be heard without judgement, gain personal insight and clarity, offload your worries and challenge any unhelpful beliefs about yourself, other people and even the world in which we exist. The growth and positive changes you achieve during therapy will not only improve your self-esteem but also your recovery from and/or confidence in navigating life's inevitable challenges. Challenges such as illness, loss, societal and workplace pressures, injustices, or difficult relationships with family, friends, loved ones, colleagues and most importantly yourself.
Therapy can also help if you do not feel able to reach out to friends or family for support for fear of upsetting or overburdening them. Or perhaps their well-meant advice or attempts to "fix" things leaves you feeling misunderstood, invalidated and alone.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange a complimentary consultation. For more detailed information about how I work with individuals or couples, please visit my website or drop me a message with any questions.
I look forward to working with you,
Victoria.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
