About us

You may be in the midst of a crisis, looking for resolution around a particular issue, feeling dissatisfied with life, or in need of a safe space where you can unburden your thoughts and feelings.

Making the first step is often the most difficult, and yet for many clients, making contact with a counsellor, in confidence, marks a threshold. A moment where we begin to build towards a positive future. If you are interested in finding out more please contact us on 01745 779100 or email here.

We offer counselling for 8 weeks and then our counsellor conducts a review with you to see if further sessions are needed or wanted. Each session lasts 50 minutes. We provide one to one support tailored to your individual needs.

Our counselling service it offered on a face to face basis or, should you prefer, via Zoom or Teams.

We adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions which the counsellor explains in more detail at the initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our team is highly motivated to give you the best treatment and experience they can offer.

Your therapist will be a fully insured member of either The British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) or The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

They will also be fully indemnity insured, have an enhanced DBS and have a strict code of ethics to which they must adhere.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
