About me
Life doesn’t always go as planned, and we all need a place to pause and reflect. It's okay not to have everything figured out before reaching out for help. I'm here to listen without judgment, help you make sense of your feelings, and support you in finding your own path forward.
Many clients seek my support after experiencing a life-changing event, such as a separation, divorce, redundancy, bereavement, or the everyday challenges of life and family. Others may be struggling with low self-esteem, confidence, stress, or burnout, feeling disconnected, experiencing anxiety or depression, or carrying a sense that something isn't right.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years in management consultancy, financial services, and telecommunications, giving me first-hand insight into workplace pressures, the complexity of professional relationships, and the often invisible toll of burnout.
Whatever brings you to therapy, it can be an opportunity for real change. Therapy is not just for crises; it can offer emotional support, help you reconnect with yourself, and unlock your growth potential, ultimately guiding you to lead a more fulfilling life.
Training, qualifications & experience
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to each client's individual needs and therapy goals. I’m trauma-informed and draw on a range of psychological approaches to support your wellbeing and personal growth.
In my practice, I am guided by the following principles:
- I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I strive to understand your unique experiences as you live them.
- I recognise that past experiences can influence the present, and I work to establish meaningful connections between the two.
- I am interested in how broader systems, such as our families, communities, and social or political networks, shape our emotional responses.
- I believe that meaningful change can only occur within a trusting therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I do my best to create a space where you feel heard and understood in all aspects of yourself.
- I am committed to non-discriminatory practice and welcome clients of all identities, cultures, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations, as well as those with health conditions or disabilities.
- I attend regular supervision and follow the BACP code of ethics. I also engage in ongoing professional development.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Making Contact
Reaching out can feel intimidating, but I aim to make you feel comfortable when you do. If you’re interested in working together, the first step is to send me an email, give me a call or text me. If I am unavailable, please leave a message, and I will get back to you within 24 hours. We can discuss the available regular session times and whether you prefer therapy online or in person. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call on request.
First Session
We will begin with a 50-minute initial consultation session. This meeting will allow us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit. We will discuss what brings you to therapy and your goals and expectations. You are welcome to ask me any questions about myself and the type of therapy I offer. Please rest assured that all information shared during this session will remain confidential. The fee for this is £75.
Our Ongoing Work
If we decide to work together, we will establish a counselling contract that outlines the terms of engagement. Each session lasts 50 minutes, whether in person or online.
