About me

Hello, I am Ursula (she/her). I am an integrative, LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist with an additional certification in Sex Counselling.

If you are thinking about having therapy in order to talk about your relationship(s), the challenges of dating and being on the apps, navigating relationship models (e.g. polyamory, open relationships), sex and your sexual self, your sexual orientation/identity, your gender journey, experiences of non-consent/ sexual violence, etc. then I might be the right therapist for you. However, my experience is not limited to my area of specialism. I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, adjustment to significant life changes (e.g. family estrangement, bereavement, pregnancy, parenthood, separation, ...) and more.

Life can feel overwhelming for a variety of reasons and talking about it in therapy can help. As a therapist I offer a weekly safe and confidential space where you can openly reflect, think and feel. You can be yourself with me. No need to hide. No need to mask. All feelings are welcome.

Training, qualifications & experience

I did my integrative counselling and psychotherapy training at the Minster Centre in London, and I trained in Sex Counselling at the ISP in Germany. I have experience in working with private clients as well as working within a university counselling service and a low-cost counselling service.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I know it can feel daunting to reach out to a therapist and I think it’s important to choose a therapist that feels right to you. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation via Zoom or on the phone that gives you the possibility to get an impression of me and my way of working.

I have some lower-cost online counselling slots reserved for students and people on lower incomes. Please let me know should this be of interest to you.

You can send me an e-mail to book an initial chat. Please mention in your e-mail which location (Shoreditch, Queen's Park or online) would be most convenient for you.
