About us

At Untangled Therapy, we believe that finding the right counsellor should feel less overwhelming and more personal. We offer both in-person and online counselling.

Taking the first steps towards counselling can be daunting. With so many therapists, approaches, and directories to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to begin or who might be the right fit for you.

Our aim is to make that process simpler by bringing together four counsellors who are passionate and committed, and who share a belief in the importance of a non-judgmental space and a meaningful therapeutic relationship.

We recognise that every person has their own story, experiences, and needs, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. Our counsellors each bring their own unique approach, experience, and individual way of working.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck, we want to support you in finding a counsellor whose approach resonates with you.

We hope to make finding a counsellor simpler, easier, more accessible, and more personal.

Please see each of our counsellors below, along with their contact email address, or take a look at our website, where you can find more information in the "Meet Our Counsellors" section and access a booking form for a free 15-minute phone call with no obligation. During the call, we can talk about what you are looking for and arrange your first counselling session if you wish.

please put name of the counsellor you would like a 15 min introductory call with in the message box when you email ,thank you

MEET NATALIE

Hi, I am Natalie, an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor.

I work in a client led way, exploring your experiences and feelings together, at your pace, sometimes life can feel like you are surviving rather than living, simply going through the motions or feeling disconnected from your self, you might struggle to trust others, feel overwhelmed or feel very little at all, perhaps you find your self repeating the same relationship patterns you dont fully understand why or you feel you must be strong and carry the load by your self, when underneath you feel scared, vulnerable or unsafe .some times our past experiences continue to affect us in the present day, affecting how we feel about ourself, how we relate to others or family, together we can explore and make sense of what might be happening, sometimes when words or feelings feel to much or are difficult to find the memories to overwhelming, we can all so use creative ways together such as stones, sand tray, russian dolls ect, i work with childhood trauma, domestic abuse, coercive control, anxiety grief, identity, self harm and suicidal thoughts, disabilities caring for somebody.

I believe therapy is about the relationship we build together be able to share your experiences with out judgment, i sit along side you not above you or below you, i offer few concessionary rates at certain times as i feel cost shouldnt be a barrier to therapy

MEET LUVENA

Maybe you’ve become very good at getting on with things. Keeping busy. Looking after everyone else. Thinking your way through problems. Carrying on, even when life feels difficult. You might be feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, or stuck. Perhaps you’re struggling with relationships, low self-esteem, boundaries, grief or a difficult life change. Or maybe life looks fine on the outside, but something doesn’t feel quite right. I’m an integrative counsellor in Bromley, offering counselling for anxiety, stress, low mood, relationships, trauma, neurodivergence, grief and other life challenges. I work with adults in person and online, at your own pace. There is no set formula for therapy. I’m interested in you as a whole person, not just the problem that brings you to counselling. We can explore what is happening now, as well as the relationships, experiences and patterns that may have shaped you. Perhaps you had to become independent early, felt responsible for other people, or didn’t feel seen or understood. These experiences can continue to shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond when life feels difficult. Sometimes our heads know one thing while another part of us feels something completely different. You might know you need to set a boundary but find it hard to say no, or know a relationship isn’t right but struggle to let go. In counselling, we can slow things down and make sense of what’s going on together. I’m interested in what might be underneath what you’re experiencing, and I also pay attention to what is happening in your body. I don’t believe change always has to be dramatic. Sometimes, a small pause between how we feel and what we do next is where change begins. Counselling isn’t about fixing you or turning you into someone different. It’s about understanding yourself with more compassion, making sense of what you’re going through, and finding what feels right for you. I will hold you - all parts of you - until you can learn to hold yourself with a little more kindness.

MEET HEATHER

As your therapist, I know that coming to therapy can be daunting - but often it is the first step onto a path of healing.I'm an Integrative Counsellor offering a warm, compassionate space to explore what's happening in your life, understand yourself better, and find new ways forward. You don't have to figure everything out alone.Sometimes life leaves us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck. Perhaps you're struggling with relationships, past experiences, low mood, ADHD, or autistic burnout. Or perhaps you simply don't feel like yourself anymore. You don't need to have all the answers before we begin. How I can support you:

Understanding yourself.
Explore patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be affecting how you feel today.
Working at your pace.
We take things gently, with no pressure to discuss anything before you're ready.
Mind and body.

Alongside talking, we can explore how stress affects your body and find practical ways to manage overwhelm. As an Integrative, trauma-informed Counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. I may incorporate somatic work - simply, noticing how stress and emotions show up physically, such as tension, restlessness, or shutting down. Understanding these responses can help us recognise what we need and find ways to feel more settled. We decide together what feels helpful for you. You are the expert in your own life. But sometimes help is needed to see and change patterns - or process painful events from our past.

My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion and understanding, helping you move towards greater self-acceptance and meaningful change.

MEET MARTA

Hello. I'm Marta, an integrative therapist in Bromley and online. If the idea of therapy feels awkward, overly clinical, or just "not you", you're the kind of person I often work with. Traditional approaches work well for many people (and we can absolutely use them), but others feel there isn't always a clear place for them in therapy. You don't need the right words, a clear plan, or even certainty about why you're here. We can figure that out together. My approach is relational, human, and led by you: your pace, your needs, your goals, even if they change along the way. Sessions are open conversations where you can speak freely and be yourself. There are no quick fixes, but depending on what you need, we can shape the work to be more reflective and exploratory, or more solution-focused and practical. You only have to be willing to take a first step. Turn up uncertain, curious, sceptical, overwhelmed, hopeful, or somewhere in between. My job is to walk alongside you, help you make sense of what's happening, notice patterns that no longer serve you, and make space for something different. Therapy doesn't have to feel heavy, intimidating, or distant. It can feel like a genuine conversation where you're met as a person first, not a problem to be fixed. As E. M. Forster wrote, "How do I know what I think until I see what I say?" We can explore that together, safely and supportively.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
