About me

Hello, I am a Person-Centred Counsellor with over 7 years experience. I work in Lee, South East London, also, in Greenwich.

As we slowly come out of the recent pandemic, have you found that anxiety keeps invading your thoughts, something you can't put your finger on. Talking therapy can be a gentle support in unlocking the source. During therapy, I will gently walk with you to safely explore feelings. I feel the therapy in its authentic, holding, trusting way can help you to make your own discoveries.

In the first session there will be a chance for you to talk over thoughts and feelings, to get a feel of the therapy and how as a counsellor I can work with you, we can at this stage decide what you would like to do next.

I work in an open-ended way, meeting up every week for a 50minute session. We review every 6 weeks to assess how therapy is going for you.

I offer walk-and-talk therapy, which can be worked around mutual geographical positioning. Being at one with nature, experiencing space and open air can be beneficial in so many ways. Breathing and walking for 50 minutes with no external expectations may help to relax you. During the 50 minute sessions there will be a chance to safely explore issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

l have a Higher Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, which I obtained from LC & CTA college in Deptford SE8.

Some of the additional training I have undertaken that has enabled me to increase my knowledge and understanding are:

If this is you at present then please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have Personal and Professional Liability insurance.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
