About me

Hello, I am a Person-Centred Counsellor with over 6 years experience. I work in Lee, South East London, also, in Greenwich, which are both safe, comfortable spaces.

l am professionally trained and can hopefully help you make sense of some of the feelings you may be experiencing. l work in a non-judgemental, respectful way, enabling you to feel relaxed and held.
I do not tell you what to do or offer advice, but gently walk with you to safely explore these feelings. I feel the therapy in its authentic, holding, trusting way can help you to make your own discoveries.

In the first session there will be a chance for you to talk over these thoughts and feelings, to get a feel of the therapy and how as a counsellor I can work with you, we can at this stage decide what you would like to do next.

I work in an open-ended way, meeting up every week for 50 minute sessions.       We review every 6 weeks.

I offer walk-and-talk therapy, which can be worked around mutual geographical positioning. During the sessions, which will be outside usually a park or space that is big enough to walk around. This can be beneficial if you have limited space at home. During the 50 minute sessions there is a chance to safely explore issues, such as anxiety around current pandemic. We can incorporate nature and outside space to help with processes.

Training, qualifications & experience

l have a Higher Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, which I obtained from LC & CTA college in Deptford SE8.

Some of the additional training I have undertaken that has enabled me to increase my knowledge and understanding are:

* Anxiety
* Anger issues
* Depression
* Art Therapy Skills
* Women in danger
* Working with Existential Uncertainty
* Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
* Drama Therapy
* Focussing
* Mental Health Issues
* Client Assessment
* Sexual Abuse
* Relationship issues

If you're finding certain issues are concerning you, that you are having trouble shaking off, then counselling may be able to help.

I work closely with issues, such as, anxiety, depression, which can be debilitating. I will work safely with you to explore this at a deeper level.

If this is you at present then please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have Personal and Professional Liability insurance.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
