About us

Our caring, compassionate and non‑judgmental team of eight therapists offer expert therapy, counselling and coaching for young people, adults and families in York and online. We use the practical, evidence‑based Human Givens approach to help you reduce distress, restore emotional balance and move forward confidently.

For those experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, neurodiversity issues, relationship challenges or major life transitions, you’ll find a warm, professional space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely supported.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our team of eight highly qualified Psychotherapists have a wealth of experience firmly set within their own expertise and specialism, be that neurodivergence, nursing and cancer care or trauma for example. We are needs-led Human Givens therapists, guided and underpinned by an idea that humans have different emotional and physical needs, and resources to meet these needs to live a life in balance.

We use this to make sense of your situation, help clarify what you want moving forward and what we need to focus on for you to achieve your goals. We focus on your strengths not just your problems.
