About me

A vast majority of us are experiencing difficult times, lately I am noticing more clients are presented with social & general anxiety, low mood/depression and relationship difficulties.

My aim is to provide an environment that will allow you to safely access and process any difficulties that may be creating problems in everyday interactions, relationships, work and/or home environment.

I offer several platforms for counselling, for example, face-2-face, online video (zoom/skype/teams) and telephone.  All platforms provide a safe, relaxing and supportive space to explore whatever it is that brings you to counselling.

Therapy sessions provide a space for you to be seen, heard, understood and supported, which can often bring relief and a renewed capacity to cope.

The relationship between therapist and client is an important one.

This is why I offer you an initial telephone consultation [free of charge] to give you an opportunity to ask me any questions about my way of working and gage if my way of working is what you are looking for.

If you have any questions or concerns, please 'Message me' as above.

Whatever it is that brings you to counselling, whatever therapist you see, my hope is that you find resolve!

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified fully accredited counsellor with over 15 years of experience working in addiction, mental health, trauma and abuse. I hold a qualification in psychodynamic counselling, person centred counselling, CBT and psychotherapy.

I am currently studying for a level 7 post graduate qualification in EMDR therapy. This training allows me to use EMDR with clients while training.

I am also a fully qualified clinical supervisor working in many areas of supervision. A qualified counselling tutor and workplace trainer, delivering training to organisations, workplace training, supervisors and trainee counsellors.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
