About me
Hi, my name is Tej and I offer long-term psychodynamic counselling to adults both in person and online from Leicester city centre.
Choosing to start therapy takes courage. With so many different types of therapy available, it can feel difficult to know where to begin and what to expect.
Psychodynamic therapy offers a safe, confidential space where together we can begin to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. This relationship provides a foundation for exploring your thoughts, feelings and past experiences and for developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
By taking time to explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings and relationships, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness and emotional understanding. We can work together to make sense of your experiences and consider how they may be connected to what is bringing you to therapy at this point in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
- BSc Psychology
- Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapy
Alongside my independent practice, I have several years of experience working therapeutically with adults within the Leicester counselling community. I have experience working with a wide range of issues and am committed to making therapy as accessible as possible.
I undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD) to ensure that my practice remains current and relevant. I also receive regular clinical supervision which supports me in maintaining a thoughtful, ethical and reflective approach to my work.
My aim is to offer a space where you can feel heard, understood and able to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.

What happens next?
The first step is to arrange an initial assessment. This is a 50-minute session where we can begin a gentle exploration of what has brought you to therapy, talk a little about your past experiences and discuss any questions you may have about the therapy process. There is no charge for the initial assessment and there is no obligation to continue with therapy afterwards.
If you decide to begin therapy, sessions will take place weekly on the same day and at the same time. Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £50. A limited number of concessionary spaces are available for students, trainees and those on a limited income.
