About me

I work with adults, couples and adolescents 16+ to provide bespoke sessions tailored to your own personal needs. I am empathic, trauma-informed, person-centred and can provide a range of skillsets to support you in working through whatever it is that you would like to bring. During a session, we will identify a way forward to equip you with the support and therapeutic interventions best suited to your requirements. I also offer Walk & Talk Mindful Wanderings outdoors sessions in the beautiful Ribble Valley.

My training was primarily in person-centred counselling and psychotherapy (Level 7 postgraduate), and I am also a qualified Advanced EFT Practitioner, NLP Practitioner, Life Purpose Coach, and Meditation Practitioner. I am also currently in training to be a Compassionate Inquiry practitioner, which is a trauma-informed, compassion-based form of therapy created by Dr. Gabor Maté.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. 

Training, qualifications & experience

My training was primarily in person-centred counselling and psychotherapy (Level 7 postgraduate), and I am also qualified and experienced in offering integrated sessions with can include CBT, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), coaching, breathwork, NLP and meditation. I see people in person at my tranquil garden therapy space in the Ribble Valley, online via Zoom and Skype, and over the phone. I also offer walk and talk sessions called Mindful Wanderings in the beautiful Ribble Valley.

I have over 17 years of experience of working with people with a variety of mental and emotional wellbeing issues and needs. I am here to hold the space for you. I offer a trauma-informed, compassionate approach, a kind, empathic listening ear, and I will work with you to provide whatever tailored support you may need.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

£50.00 per session

Additional information

1:1 sessions are £50/60 minutes either in person at my treatment space in Waddington near Clitheroe,  online via Zoom/Skype or over the phone. Integrated 75 minute sessions are £60 (modalities can include psychotherapy, EFT, mindfulness and breathwork and are tailored to your requirements). Walk and Talk sessions in the Ribble Valley are £65/75 minutes. You are welcome to contact me for a chat either via email or the phone to see if you would like to work with me.
