Hello, a warm welcome!
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, psychotherapist and psychologist. A member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have a background in teaching, training and mentorship in leadership and business management.
I am, warm, caring, and work in a holistic, trauma informed, person-centred, compassionate and culturally sensitive way.
I work towards empowering you to overcome the challenges that are facing and are holding you back or limiting you, and help you to heal, develop, grow and move forward in life with passion.
By reaching out you may have taken the first step towards healing, achieving your goals, rising above your limitations, and getting clarity and momentum you need to get more out of life, regardless of the pain, trauma, loneliness or stuck you may feel at this moment in time.
Who I Work With
I work with adults (over 18 years of age), from diverse background and cultures.
What I Provide
I provide a welcoming, confidential, relaxed, compassionate and supportive space within which you can feel safe to talk freely and openly and know that you feel heard, understood and supported.
What Issues and Life Challenges I Work With
I provide a wide range of therapy including person centred, compassion focused, systematic, solutions focused brief therapy, CBT, DBT and EMDR.
My clients may present a range of issues and life challenges, including bereavement, grief, loss (example loss of child, relationship, miscarriage), trauma, PTSD, abortion, abuse, anxiety, depression, self-harm, OCD, IBS, Identity, loneliness, bullying, racism, sexism, workplace issues, women’s issues, burnout, stress, managing anger, managing performance, Low Self-esteem and self-confidence.
How I Practice and Work with You:
Your initial consultation session is free of charge and lasts 30 to 60 minutes.
During the initial consultation, I will discuss with you your needs, issues and expectations, so that I can tailor the therapy to meet your unique needs and expectations.
This is also an opportunity for you to ensure that you feel comfortable and can talk openly with me.
Equally, it is an opportunity for me to establish if I can offer the support you need.
I will then agree with you your preferred method: face-to-face or online.
My practice is trauma informed, person centred, relational and also solution focused using a variety of methods, techniques and interventions to help the therapeutic process and empower you to achieve the best outcomes you want from the therapy.
You are always in control of what you wish to achieve from each session.

I have experience of working in both public and private sector, including community, NHS, social services, university and further education.
My professional practice:
My professional practice comprises Relational, Person-Centred, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR, Systemic, Psychodynamic, Psycho education, Solution focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My Availability
I provide therapy via face-to-face, online via Teams or Zoom.
Face-to-Face sessions are available in the west Yorkshire, Huddersfield, 5 minutes walk from bus and train station and easy access via M62.
Therapy sessions are available between 11.30 am to 7.00pm on weekdays and weekends. Each therapy session is approximately 60 minutes minutes duration.
