Hello, a warm welcome! I am so excited to meet you.
I am a qualified (BACP Registered) and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I also have a background in teaching, training and mentorship in leadership and business management.
I am, warm, caring, and work in a holistic, person centred, compassionate and culturally sensitive way. I work towards empowering you to overcome the challenges or things that are limiting you, and help you grow, develop, and move forward in life with passion.

I work with adults (over 18 years of age), from diverse backgrounds, cultures and irrespective of gender, race, colour and nationality, disability, class, sexuality, political or religious beliefs. marital status or any other factors not mentioned and is within my skills base and expertise.

I work on a range of issues and life challenges, in particular bereavement, grief, loss, trauma, abortion, miscarriage, abuse, anxiety, depression, OCD, IBS, Identity, loneliness, bullying, racism, sexism, workplace issues, women’s issues, burnout, stress, managing anger, Low Self-esteem and confidence.
How I Practice and Work with You
During the counselling sessions I collaborate with you to understand your needs so that I can tailor the therapy to meet your needs and expectations.
I incorporate various researched (evidence-based) models, tools and techniques that help the therapeutic process. I also ensure that these tools and techniques are culturally sensitive and respect your values and beliefs.

My Qualifications:
- MA Integrative Counselling; MSc Psychology; Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Cert. Ed (HE).
I have experience of working in both public and private sector, including community, NHS, social services, university and further education.

My professional practice comprises Relational, Person-Centred, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Systemic, Psychodynamic, Psychoeducation and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My Availability
I provide therapy via face-to-face in the west Yorkshire area and easy access via M62, and on-line via teams or zoom.
Therapy sessions are available between 1.30pm to 7.00pm on weekdays and weekends. Each therapy session is approximately 50 minutes duration.
Cost
I am happy to negotiate the cost!
The initial consultation session is free of charge and lasts 30 to 60 minutes. This is an opportunity for you to ensure that you feel comfortable and can talk openly with me. Equally, it is an opportunity for me to establish if I can offer the support you need.
