About me

Many of the people I work with come to therapy during periods of change, when life feels unsettled, roles feel heavy or emotions feel difficult to contain. You might be questioning a relationship, your sense of identity, or the direction your life is taking. Therapy can offer a reflective space to slow things down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

I work primarily with adults who are experiencing transition, uncertainty, or a sense that something in their life or relationships no longer fits. This might include feeling emotionally overwhelmed, carrying a lot of responsibility for others, struggling with people-pleasing or boundaries, or feeling unsure of who you are beneath the roles you occupy. Some people come to therapy feeling they “feel too much,” while others sense that something needs to change but find it hard to put into words.

I work in a relational and integrative way, meaning the therapy is shaped around you rather than following a set formula. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship itself, a space where you can be met, understood, and responded to in a way that feels safe, thoughtful, and real.

Together we will develop an understanding of your inner experience (your thoughts, feelings, patterns, and the meanings you’ve made about yourself) and how these have developed in relation to others over time. We may explore how past and present relationships, family roles, and expectations continue to influence how you experience yourself and the world now.

Alongside talking, we may also use creative or visual ways of working as part of the therapeutic process, offering different routes into exploration and meaning-making. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you feel both held and gently challenged, supporting us to explore what’s happening beneath the surface and to develop new ways of understanding yourself.

Rather than focusing on quick solutions, I value awareness and insight as important parts of meaningful change.

I work with adults of all genders and am attentive to how our inner experiences are shaped through relationships, roles, and the wider contexts we live within, including our relationship with our bodies. I work in a body-affirming and inclusive way, aiming to create a space where you are met with respect and care, without pressure to change or fix yourself in order to be accepted.

I offer relational and integrative counselling and psychotherapy to adults, in person in Monmouth and online across the UK.

I work best with people who are open to reflection and exploration, and who are interested in a relational therapeutic process rather than quick techniques or prescribed advice. Therapy is rarely linear; instead, I see it as working alongside someone during a particular season of their life, adapting to challenges as they arise and offering a steady, thoughtful presence as change unfolds.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
