About me

Welcome to a space where you can be heard.

Making sense of what has happened, understanding yourself more deeply, and finding a way forward.

Life isn't always easy, and there are times when we can all feel overwhelmed, stuck or uncertain. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.

I offer a warm, calm and confidential space where you can talk openly, feel heard and begin to make sense of your experiences. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or simply have a sense that something doesn't feel quite right, we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with adults aged 18 and over, offering counselling in person from The Treatment Hub in Basingstoke and online throughout the UK. I also offer a free 30-minute introductory telephone consultation, giving us the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling and whether we feel we're the right fit to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Level 5 BACP Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor with additional training, including an accredited CPCAB Level 6 Diploma in Trauma Focused Therapy.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic counselling, which means I believe that our past experiences, relationships and life events can influence how we think, feel and relate to others today. By developing a deeper understanding of these patterns, therapy can help you make sense of your experiences, gain greater self-awareness and create meaningful, lasting change.

Alongside my psychodynamic training, my additional trauma-focused training enables me to adapt my approach to meet your individual needs. I work collaboratively, always at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

Alongside my private practice, I also work as a counsellor within charitable services, supporting adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I have experience working with trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, relationship and family difficulties, childhood experiences, life transitions, long-term health conditions, menopause, and caring responsibilities.

I am a registered member of the BACP, hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and am committed to ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My work is supported by additional training in Trauma Focused Therapy. I recognise that trauma can affect both the mind and body, often influencing the way we think, feel, relate to others and experience the world. I offer a safe, compassionate and collaborative approach, working at a pace that feels manageable while helping you make sense of your experiences and move towards healing.
