About me
You may look as though you are coping while feeling overwhelmed, anxious or unlike yourself underneath.
Perhaps you are struggling with overthinking, low mood, difficult relationships or a loss of confidence. You may be going through menopause, a significant life change or finding that earlier experiences are still affecting how you feel and relate to others.
You do not need to know exactly what is wrong before coming to counselling.
I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what is happening. I will not tell you what you should do or expect you to share everything straight away. We will work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor with psychodynamic core training. This means we may explore what is happening in your life now, while also considering how earlier relationships and experiences may be shaping present feelings, patterns and choices.
I have more than 20 years’ experience across counselling, mental health and therapeutic support services. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, grief, loss, childhood trauma, low self-esteem and significant periods of change.
Menopause can affect far more than physical health. You may feel anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, less confident or unlike yourself. It can also affect relationships, work and identity, while earlier feelings or unresolved experiences may come to the surface.
Counselling offers a private space where what you are experiencing can be taken seriously, without everything being dismissed as “just hormones”.
Although menopause and midlife are particular areas of interest for me, I welcome adults seeking support with a broad range of emotional difficulties.
I offer face-to-face counselling in Saffron Walden Essex and online counselling throughout the UK.
I provide a free 15-minute introductory telephone call so that you can briefly tell me what has brought you to counselling, ask questions and decide whether you feel comfortable taking the next step.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
