About me

Feeling stuck in the same relationship patterns, overwhelmed by your emotions, or unsure why things feel the way they do?

I offer integrative, attachment-based counselling for individuals and couples in Plymouth and online across the UK. Together, we explore how your experiences have shaped the way you feel, relate and respond, helping you move towards greater emotional security and connection.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, holding a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2020) and a Level 5 Diploma in Attachment-Based Psychotherapeutic Counselling. My work is grounded in attachment theory, with a focus on relational patterns and emotional understanding.

My career began as a learning disability nurse, where I supported individuals and families in complex and emotionally demanding situations. This experience continues to inform my calm, steady and attuned approach.

I have over six years’ experience working within a counselling agency setting, supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, attachment patterns and the impact of trauma. During this time, I also took on a role managing the agency, further developing my understanding of delivering safe, ethical and well-supported services.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work in accordance with their ethical framework. I engage in regular supervision, ongoing professional development, and continue to attend my own personal therapy to support reflective practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a particular specialism in attachment-based psychotherapy, which allows me to work with you in a deeply relational and meaningful way. Rather than focusing only on what is happening on the surface, we explore how your early experiences and relationships may have shaped the way you connect, respond emotionally, and protect yourself today.

Through this work, we begin to gently understand the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes an important part of this process, offering a safe, consistent space where new experiences of trust, understanding, and connection can develop.

My aim is to support you in moving towards an earned sense of security, helping you feel more grounded within yourself and more able to form stable, fulfilling relationships with others.
