About me
We can all experience challenging or difficult times in our lives
Sometimes we may just need an empathic, non-judgemental ear to air our thoughts and express our feelings, to get it out and let it go
Needing the space to decongest our minds, to properly process how we are feeling and take those all-important first steps in moving forward, allowing us to make decisions or make changes to positively better our lives
As a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, I will offer you that safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings on what’s happening for you in your life at this time and support you in going through the process
Working with children aged 9 and above
I’ve worked with children and teenagers in a school setting as a counsellor and in a charity organisation, as well as privately, working with a number of issues including grief and bereavement, anxiety and depression, bullying, gender acceptance and confidence issues and many more. I also have a wealth of experience working with neurodiversity in both children and adults
Working with adults
I’ve worked with adults through bereavement, various mental health concerns, those in current and past addiction and those suffering life pressures
I also use Art therapy techniques in my counselling if the clients would like to, as I feel being able to express yourself creatively as well as verbally is of huge benefit for those who may not want to talk or may struggle to express themselves verbally
I am a BACP registered member abiding by their ethical framework and code of conduct, and hold an enhanced DBS
I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you in your journey

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
