About me
I offer integrative counselling for adults, with a person-centred and existential foundation, tailored to your individual needs.
My aim is to provide a calm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and work through whatever is bringing you to therapy.
People come to counselling for many reasons. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, self-critical, burnt out, or disconnected from yourself. You may be facing relationship difficulties, a life transition, grief or loss, low mood, or questions about meaning, identity, and direction. Some clients come with a clear issue; others simply know that something does not feel right and want a space to explore this.
Alongside counselling, I am also trained as a coach and, where appropriate and clearly agreed, I can integrate coaching techniques into our work. This can be helpful if you want both emotional depth and practical support – for example, with boundaries, decision-making, or moving forward in a way that feels more aligned with your values.
I work with a wide range of clients and have particular insight into the difficulties of high-expectation or high-pressure environments, where stress, perfectionism, responsibility, and performance can take a toll.
I offer sessions in person in Battersea (a short distance from Clapham Junction station) and online, with flexible appointment times across weekdays and evenings.
If you are considering counselling, you are welcome to get in touch to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an integrative counsellor and coach, and have completed the BACP-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching at the University of East London. My training draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, with a strong grounding in person-centred and existential ways of working, alongside psychodynamic and CBT-informed perspectives where helpful.
Alongside my therapy practice, I run Right at Home Wandsworth & Lambeth, a CQC-registered local homecare service supporting people to live safely and independently at home. This role deepens my experience of care, relationships, dignity, responsibility, and the realities families face when navigating illness, ageing, and support needs.
My earlier professional background includes working in investment funds in New York City, London, and Seattle, in high-pressure and high-expectation environments. This gives me particular insight into issues such as stress, burnout, perfectionism, performance pressure, and the impact work can have on identity, relationships, and wellbeing.
I also bring a strong academic background and my degrees include:
- BA in Economics (Harvard College)
- MSc in Social Policy and Planning, London School of Economics
- Master in Public Policy (MPP), Harvard Kennedy School
My wider professional and academic experience informs a reflective, culturally aware, and thoughtful approach to therapeutic work.
I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and engage in regular supervision to support safe and ethical practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
