About us

How I Work
I work with people across the lifespan from adolescence on, offering therapy in Exeter and online. My approach is deeply relational, which means our work together begins with understanding your experience from your perspective.

Areas I Often Work With

I frequently support people experiencing:

-Anxiety and anxiety-related overwhelm, including persistent worrying, panic, and feeling mentally “stuck”

-Trauma and the ongoing impact of difficult or overwhelming life experiences

-Depression and low mood, including loss of motivation, energy, or direction

-Identity exploration, including LGBTQ+ identity, neurodivergent identity, and questions around belonging and self-understanding

-Neurodiversity and neurodivergence, including experiences of ADHD and/or autism (diagnosed or self-identified), late diagnosis, masking, burnout, and feeling misunderstood or out of step with expectations

-Life transitions, including moving from adolescence into adulthood, early adult identity formation, mid-life reflection and reassessment, and later-life transitions

-Chronic illness and long-term health conditions, and the emotional impact of living with ongoing health challenges

-Feeling stuck, disconnected, or uncertain, including difficulty with relationships, direction, or sense of purpose

When life feels overwhelming, we can explore small ways to ease pressure and bring relief, while also looking at deeper questions — who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to live.

Book a free 15-minute chat to see if we’re a good fit and ask any questions you might have.

I sometimes have availability for an intro chat outside of the times listed here, so please get in touch if you don't see a time that works for you.

I aim to offer a steady, thoughtful space where we can explore both immediate difficulties and the deeper questions that often sit underneath them — including identity, purpose, and how you want to live your life.

At times I also offer mindfulness practices from my training as a meditation teacher, which can support noticing and working with thoughts, feelings, and bodily experience. This can be particularly helpful for anxiety and overwhelm.

My work is trauma-informed, recognising that difficult or overwhelming experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. I aim to create a space where these experiences can be explored with care, helping people develop understanding, self-compassion, and a greater sense of stability.

Training, qualifications & experience

Professional Experience
Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor with an LGBTQ+ charity, supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-harm, chronic illness, and family rejection. I have particular experience working with trans and non-binary clients, as well as people navigating complex or long-term health conditions.

Community and Background
Before training as a counsellor, I spent over two decades working in small independent organisations, charities, and community projects. These roles were consistently centred around people, community, and creating environments where individuals felt welcomed, valued, and able to connect.
This work strengthened my belief that people thrive when they are offered acceptance, curiosity, and space to be themselves — a belief also shaped by my own experience of therapy, which I have found deeply supportive and life-changing.

About Me
My perspective as a counsellor is also informed by my lived experience. I have spent over 25 years living bi-nationally, am the child of a refugee, and identify as both queer and neurodiverse. These experiences give me a deep appreciation for the complexities of identity, belonging, and navigating different cultural and social landscapes.

I am a qualified counsellor, holding an Advanced Diploma of Integrative Counselling from Iron Mill College, Exeter.

I am a registered member -01005269- of the BACP and work to their ethical framework.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
