About me
Available weekends and evenings to fit around you and ensure you get the support you wish for.
You deserve a space where you feel truly understood.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling to cope with your thoughts or emotions, you don’t have to face it alone. Counselling can offer a space where you feel heard, accepted, and supported to explore what you’re going through.
I am a pluralistic counsellor working with young people and adults. I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where we can explore whatever is going on for you, at a pace that feels safe.
My practice is neuro-affirming and grounded in acceptance. I work at relational depth, placing importance on building a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences. Feeling deeply understood can be a powerful starting point for change.
You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood or depression, self-esteem difficulties, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts. I also support people navigating grief and bereavement (including loss through suicide), trauma, abusive relationships, and challenges within parental or family relationships.
I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients and aim to provide an affirming space where you can explore your experiences without judgement.
Counselling can help you make sense of what you’re going through, feel less alone, and begin moving towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
Reaching out for support can feel difficult, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting counselling. If you feel that I might be the right counsellor for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and work from a pluralistic perspective, drawing on person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to support each client’s individual needs.
I have over eight years’ experience working with young people and completed my clinical placement with Place2Be, where I provided therapeutic support in a school setting and incorporated creative approaches into my work.
My experience includes supporting both young people and adults with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I also volunteer with Shout, the UK’s 24/7 confidential text support service, supporting people experiencing distress, crisis, and overwhelming emotions.
My training and experience have shaped a compassionate, relational approach where clients feel safe, respected and understood.

What to expect from your first session:
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure or a little nervous about the first session.
Our first meeting is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with about what has brought you to counselling, and we can talk about what you might hope to gain from it.
I’ll also explain a little about how I work and answer any questions you may have. There’s no expectation to talk about everything straight away – we will go at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
My aim is to create a warm, accepting space where you feel able to be yourself and begin exploring what’s going on for you without judgement. The first session can also help you decide whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
