About me
I am an experienced Chartered and Registered Counselling Psychologist, with experience of working in a variety of clinical settings and addressing a wide range of mental health difficulties.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, solution-focused, and rooted in cognitive models of psychotherapy. However, I believe in adapting the approach to suit your individual needs and preferences.
In the initial phase of therapy, our main focus will be to understand the difficulties you are facing and determine the most effective steps to support you. To facilitate this process, I offer an initial 15 minute telephone consultation. This allows us to explore how we can collaboratively work towards achieving your therapeutic goals in a constructive manner.
I currently provide psychological therapy sessions using Zoom, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, and telephone platforms. Each session lasts for 60 minutes and can be arranged on an ongoing basis or for a predetermined number of sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and I am an Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society. My qualifications are:
Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, The University of Manchester
BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology, The University of Central Lancashire.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
