About me
Are you struggling with anxiety, low confidence, relationship difficulties or the emotional impact of a difficult experience?
Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally exhausted. You may be finding it difficult to switch off from your thoughts, understand your feelings or know what to do next. Sometimes, even when everything appears fine on the outside, life can feel very different on the inside.
You don't have to work through this alone.
I'm Satwant, an Integrative Counsellor based in Bexleyheath, supporting people who are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional distress and challenging life transitions.
I particularly understand how difficult it can be to rebuild your confidence and sense of self after an unhealthy or emotionally difficult relationship, separation, loss or experience of abuse. You may have spent a long time putting other people's needs first and now feel unsure of yourself or what you want from life.
How I can support you
You might come to counselling because you're experiencing:
Anxiety, stress or constant overthinking
Low self-esteem or lack of confidence
Relationship difficulties or separation
Difficulties following emotional or domestic abuse
Feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed or unable to move forward
Life changes and uncertainty
Bereavement and loss
Depression or low mood
Difficulties managing emotions
Problems with boundaries or putting your own needs first
You don't need to have everything figured out before you come to counselling. You can simply start with what's happening for you right now.
My approach
I offer an integrative approach, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into one particular way of working.
My role isn't to judge you or tell you what you should do. Instead, I will work alongside you to understand what you're experiencing, explore patterns that may be affecting you and help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence and healthier ways of coping.
I aim to provide a space where you can speak openly and honestly, without feeling judged.
A safe space to begin
Starting counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you've never spoken to a counsellor before.
That's why I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. It gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you may have and see whether you feel I could be the right counsellor for you.
There is no obligation to continue.
If you're ready to take the first step, please get in touch to arrange your free 15-minute consultation.
I offer counselling online, by telephone and face-to-face in Bexleyheath.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Free 15-Minute Initial Consultation
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel overwhelming, and choosing the right therapist is an important part of the process. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation by telephone or online, providing an opportunity for us to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether we feel we are the right fit to work together.
First Session (Individual Therapy)
Your first full session includes an initial assessment, which is a valuable part of the therapeutic process. During this session, we will explore your current concerns, relevant personal history, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This helps me gain a deeper understanding of your needs, ensures that I am the right therapist to support you, and allows us to begin our work together in a safe, supportive, and collaborative way.
