About me
Hey - I'm Sargam
If you're reading this, there's a chance you've been carrying a lot on your own. Maybe you're used to coping or pushing through, even when things feel heavy inside. Or maybe you're at a point where you know something needs to change but you're unsure how or where to begin.
You don't need to have everything figured out to start therapy. You just need a space where you can be yourself - without judgement, pressure or having to explain. That's the space I aim to offer.
How I work
At the heart of my work is a human, honest and collaborative relationship. I believe therapy is most effective when you feel genuinely understood and supported to grow. I believe that you are the expert on you and your life. My role isn't to 'fix' you or to tell you who to become, but to walk alongside you as you make sense of what's been going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I work in an integrative humanistic way, drawing from CBT while staying flexible and responsive to your individual needs. I don’t believe one type of therapy fits everyone. We are all shaped by our experiences, relationships, cultures, identities and the ways we've learned to survive - and therapy should honour that.
Our work might involve:
- Making sense of patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and relationships
- Understanding how your past may have shaped the way you protect yourself today
- Exploring emotions that feel confusing, overwhelming or difficult to express
- Developing practical tools and deeper self-awareness
- Learning how to respond to yourself with more kindness, clarity and confidence
Some sessions may feel grounding and reflective others may feel more structured or practical. We move at your pace, and we regularly check in about what feels helpful.
Who I work with
I work with adults who are navigating things like:
- Anxiety, overthinking, panic or constant worry
- Low mood, depression or feeling emotionally drained
- Low self-esteem, self-doubt or harsh inner criticism
- Relationship or attachment difficulties
- Feeling stuck, lost or disconnected from yourself
- Stress, burnout and emotional overwhelm
You don't need to fit into any box or have a clear label for what you're experiencing. Quite often, people come to therapy saying they don't know what's wrong, that's more than enough to begin.
Reaching Out:
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're unsure of what to expect. You don't need to explain everything perfectly. An initial conversation offers a space to ask questions, share as much or as little as feels comfortable and get a sense of how I work. If you feel you are struggling with any of the problems above or just want to have an introductory meeting to see if therapy is right for you, please book an introduction call or reach out via email and we can explore this together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I've been working in mental health since more than 10 years across NHS, IAPT, private practice and social care settings. This experience has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and life stages, each with their own story and challenges.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring a strong awareness of how factors such as culture, identity, upbringing, relationships and life experiences shape the way difficulties show up. My aim is always to offer therapy that feels thoughtful, grounded and tailored to the individual whilst being rooted in evidence-based and scientifically informed practice.

BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
