About me

Welcome to The Talking Room Surrey – a space where you can talk, feel heard, and start making sense of things.

Life can feel overwhelming, and it’s normal to struggle with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, or simply feeling stuck. You might be navigating challenges with relationships, work, or family life. Or perhaps you’re managing the complexities of ADHD, autism, or other aspects of neurodiversity. Whatever’s on your mind, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Counselling offers a safe and supportive space where you can:

🔹 Feel truly heard – This isn’t about quick fixes or advice. It’s about having the time and space to talk freely and be understood.

🔹 Explore life’s challenges – Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, or the pressures of work and relationships, we’ll work together to help you navigate them.

🔹 Understand your story – Past experiences can shape how you feel today. Together, we can explore those patterns so you can feel more in control of your emotions and choices.

🔹 Find a therapy approach that works for you – As an integrative-relational therapist, I tailor therapy to your needs, combining different approaches to support your unique situation.

The relationship we build is at the heart of the process. This is your space—somewhere to share difficult thoughts, make sense of emotions, and gain clarity. Sometimes, just saying things out loud can bring relief.

Sessions are weekly and can be short-term or open-ended, depending on what feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information

Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, and it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable with. That’s why I offer an initial consultation at a reduced fee of £25, giving us a chance to meet and discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, with no obligation to continue. If we decide to work together, we’ll meet weekly at the same time for 50-minute sessions.

My practice provides a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore your concerns in a way that feels safe and manageable. Whether you’re facing a specific issue or seeking personal growth, we’ll work together to help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
