About me
Do you feel like you’re constantly overthinking, doubting yourself, or trying to keep it all together when really… you’re not? Maybe you’re stuck in people-pleasing, battling low confidence, or simply tired of holding everything in.
You’re not alone - and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
I’m Sarah, a counsellor based in Surrey. I work with people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or unsure of who they are anymore. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship stress or just feeling lost, therapy can help you slow down, understand what’s going on, and begin to feel more like you again.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a big crisis. Sometimes the hardest thing is admitting you’re not okay - and that’s already a huge first step.
HOW I WORK
I offer a space where you don’t have to pretend. You can talk freely, be real, cry, swear, sit in silence - whatever you need.
I’m an integrative-relational counsellor, which just means I adapt how I work to suit you. Some sessions might focus on what’s happening right now. Others might gently explore how the past is still shaping your present. We go at your pace.
What matters most is that you feel heard and supported - without pressure, fixing or judgment.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
What’s it like to work with me?
I offer therapy that’s relaxed, supportive and genuinely human. You don’t need to come in with a clear “issue” or know exactly what to say - we figure that out together. Some sessions might feel more reflective, others might focus on what’s happening day to day. There's no one - size - fits - all approach here.
New to counselling?
That’s totally okay. Lots of clients I work with have never had therapy before - or had a bad experience and are giving it another go. I’ll always explain things clearly and go at your pace.
What if I don’t know where to start?
That’s really common. You don’t need to have it all figured out - we can start with whatever feels most pressing or just talk about what’s been on your mind lately. It’s okay to take it one step at a time.
Will I have to talk about my childhood?
Not unless it feels relevant to what’s going on now. Some people find it helpful to make those links, others prefer to focus more on the present - either way is completely fine.
What if I’ve had a bad experience in therapy before?
That’s completely valid, and I’m happy to talk about it. Feeling safe, respected and understood matters - and if you’re willing to give therapy another try, we can go at a pace that works for you.
Is this space neurodivergent - friendly?
Yes - I work with many clients who are navigating ADHD, autism, dyslexia or just feeling a bit “different” from others. You don’t need a diagnosis to bring those experiences into the room.
What if I cry or can’t find the words?
Both are absolutely okay. This is your space, and there's no right or wrong way to use it. Some people talk a lot, others sit quietly - all of it is welcome.
How often do we meet?
Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes. Keeping a regular rhythm helps build momentum and gives us a steady space to work through whatever’s coming up for you.
