About me
Thank you for being here.
My name is Sarah and I am an accredited Emotional Therapeutic Counsellor (MNCPS Acc.) working with Adults, and I also hold a mentoring qualification working with Children and Young People.
I work as a person-centred counsellor, offering a non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
I am passionate about inclusion and respecting personal preferences, processing styles and individuality. We can adapt sessions, tools and language to support how you express yourself.
I offer:
- Online Sessions
- Outdoors Sessions in a quiet local park
For outdoor sessions, the environment can be helpful for those who may feel traditional 'face to face' therapy sessions might not feel like the right fit. There are benches that do not require direct face to face conversations and there is no requirement to walk.
Training, qualifications & experience
- I have over 20 years experience within nursing and care roles, and I am passionate about supporting people to move forward equipped with a deeper sense of self.
- I hold a L4 Diploma in Emotional Therapeutic Counselling (ETC).
- A L3 certificate in Mentoring, with experience in working with Children and Young People (CYP).
- I am a qualified nurse (Adult) with a focus in hospice care and mental health settings. Though I no longer practice, my nursing experience gave me valuable insight which supports the work I now offer.
- Alongside my own practice (The Hope Cabin), I support referrals through other counselling/mental health spaces.
- Where possible, I connect with charities and small organisations that share a commitment to making a meaningful difference to people's wellbeing.
