About me

Hi there, I am a registered psychotherapeutic counsellor specialising in Integrative and Relational counselling (which in a nutshell means I draw from a range of therapeutic styles of counselling  to tailor the experience to you and your needs).

Whether you have a clear goal for wanting counselling or simply feel a general sense of unease, I am here to support you in your journey.

I am committed to offering a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental space for you to explore whatever may be troubling you.
I know for some it’s daunting to take that first step toward counselling - if you’ve got this far into reading my bio - you are half way there!
Having been through extensive counselling myself (once weekly for four years as part of my training) I empathise with the uncertainty that can come with beginning this process. That’s why I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where, in time, you can feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and emotions.

At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself (the relationship built between client and counsellor) is a powerful tool for change. I provide a warm, open, and safe space where you can speak freely about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This relationship is key to fostering self-awareness, helping you process difficult emotions, and empowering you to make meaningful changes in your life.

I have particular experience in helping individuals who have lived through challenging or traumatic childhoods. These early experiences often leave a lasting impact, affecting self-worth, relationships, and mental health in adulthood. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addiction, or trauma, I am here to support you in understanding and coming to terms with these challenges.

In addition to trauma-informed work, I have experience helping clients navigate a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, Neurodiversity, depression, bereavement, stress, family and relationship issues, baby loss and more.

My integrative approach allows me to draw from different therapeutic frameworks, ensuring that the work we do together is both flexible and responsive to your needs. Sessions are paced according to what feels right for you, and I will always respect where you are on your journey.

My private practice, located in Great Yarmouth(5 minutes from the Acle Straight), provides a calm and confidential setting for our sessions. I look forward to welcoming you and helping you move toward a life of greater clarity, purpose, and emotional freedom.

Please feel free to get in touch via phone, message, WhatsApp or email to arrange an initial conversation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I also have a BSc in Adult Nursing.

I am a registered member of the UKCP, and I adhere to their professional and ethical standards as a core part of my practice.

Before transitioning to counselling, I spent 13 years as a nurse, specialising in gynaecology and early pregnancy. This background has provided me with valuable experience in supporting individuals from various backgrounds during challenging times.
